I believe that there is not a true way of preparing a person fully for the financial issues they may incounter. However, there should be ways that they can prepare for some of these issues. Some people, even older people, do not know how to balance a checkbook. When going into the working field it is essential that a person understand their retirement funds such a a 401K. For someone to really successed in life, they must be successful while working but also after working. If there was a class avaible for students for them to learn all this, there could be a chance that they have more success and reach higher goals in life. However, times are always changing, and because of this it could be vertually impossible for a person to be fully up to date with the new rules. Before a student graduates college there should be basic things that they already know. While in college and possibly even high school, students should be taught about the basics. Because high school students are going into college, many will often have to take out loans. Very often students are unaware of what they are actually going to be paying and they find themselves in greater debt later on. If students are able to take a course that would teach them about credit cards, loans, and interest rates, they might havae a higher successrate in life. While high school courses may not always prepare a student, they will truely help. With additional courses in college for a more developed course would also benefit a student. A course will only be effective if the students take the class serious.
